Summertime mornings — the ones with sunlight glistening on dewdrops at 6:00 a.m. — slipped away while I was doing other things. Sleeping, I suppose. Now, darkness shrouds 7:00 a.m.; even quarter ’til the 8:00 hour and it’s not unreasonable to keep the lights on for just a while longer.
‘While I was doing other things,’ — sleeping, or trolling about the interwebs, checking email, listening to the silence and waiting for the phone to ring — a fresh reminder. The Light is breaking the darkness. This morning, I didn’t miss it.
